Laughter is a vital part of the emotional health of the church, which is the Body of Christ. I am blessed beyond measure to be the pastor of a church that is full of laughter. The sound of laughter can be heard on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. The sound of laughter can be heard on mission trips and fellowship weekends. The sound of laughter can even be heard inside a hospital room or visitation at home. Laughter thrives where Joy abounds. Laughing makes the soul rejoice and the body heal. The Bible says in Psalm 126:2 “Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.” I’ve heard people say, “It’s better to laugh than to cry.” Is your house of worship cold, dead and routine? If it is, you should find a church where Jesus is celebrated as King of kings and Lord of lords. Where the Spirit of God brings out the many different fruits of the Spirit, one of which is Joy. Isn’t it time to laugh and rejoice today? Better to be laughing with the saints than to be lame with the lost….
