Well, another year has come to a close. For me, 2019 was a difficult year. For most of the year, I cared for my father during his final stages of life. I must admit, there were moments when I felt like I couldn’t continue. Moments when I also felt like a failure in some areas of caring for my Dad. But, in my weakness, God showed His ability to carry me. This year has taught me just how weak I am. Now, this is a wonderful lesson to learn. Oftentimes, as a pastor, we can become complacent and self absorbed. Adversity has a way of humbling us and helping with a course correcting. With the new year coming in, my prayer is that I continue to learn and grow as a pastor, father, husband and friend. Praise God for a time of renewal…..Much Love and Happy New Year!
